NSSC's Nuclear Security Division was started
in 1986 in response to the nuclear industry's
need for sophisticated security systems and trained
operators required by the NRC. Early experience
in the implementation of security measures to
meet regulatory guidelines showed the need for
better strategic planning and training to successfully
develop an effective overall security plan.
NSSC begins each engagement with Performance
Testing of existing security systems to determine
deficiencies and develop a security baseline for
the facility. Our OSRE preparation services assist
our customers with a thorough review of their
operational security plan and training exercises
for their response forces.
Guard Force Reduction studies allow our customers
to optimize their security forces and maintain
their response preparedness. QA/QC audits encompass
the entire security process to ensure that the
plant can properly respond to any perceived threat.
Finally, Force on Force exercises provide our
customers with confidence that their security
force can successfully execute the defense of
their facility.
